Mike Green scored a power-play goal 23 seconds into overtime Sunday to give Washington a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers and make Kolzig a winner in his 700th career game. Alex Ovechkin had a goal and two assists for the Capitals, who jumped over Atlanta and Carolina into first place in the Southeast Division. Ovechkin leads the NHL with 47 goals and 76 points.
