Almost everything has been fair game when it comes to talk about the team's search for a new general manager and president - rumours about potential hires, outright speculation, even stories about hockey people who are not interested in a job with the Leafs.

Kirke: Maple Leafs likely to follow Red Wings' model

My question is, do the leafs really have a choice in what they do going forward for the next few years? They've got so much money tied up in aged vets, their hands are virtually tied. I don't see the leafs as any type of contender for at the very least 2 more seasons.
