Default Woman on Tracks to "Clear Her Mind" Hit by Train
Yeah, that's what I would tell them I was doing too. How can you not get out of the way of a train moving at a blistering 10mph?

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham police said a 22-year-old woman has suffered a broken leg after being hit by a train. Officer Lawrence Billups said the woman told police she was lying on the tracks "to clear her mind" when the train approached around 7 a.m. Sunday.

Billups said the CSX train was moving about 10 mph when it hit her. The train's operator told police he tried to stop.

The woman was transported to UAB Hospital.
