| Ducks center Weight out a week with shoulder strain Ducks center Doug Weight will be out for at least a week because of a strained left shoulder according to the Los Angeles Times. Weight, who had an MRI exam Monday in Anaheim, is expected to go on injured reserve. The 37-year-old center had his shoulder heavily wrapped after Saturday's practice. No tear was found in the shoulder during the MRI exam. The Ducks plan to treat the injury with rest and rehabilitation. Coach Randy Carlyle said Weight first injured the shoulder early in the trip and aggravated it last week during the Ducks' win over the New York Islanders.
